Francis “Frank” Paul McNamara, 91, of Demopolis passed away March 9 at UAB Hospital.
Services will be held Friday, March 11, 11 a.m., at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Demopolis with the Father Larry Schnnick officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Mr. McNamara was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. His accomplishments including being a graduate of LSU and a fan, an active member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and a member of the Demopolis Kiwanis Club. He was a past member of the Demopolis Singers and the Knights of Columbus. He was a longtime Demopolis resident.
He was preceded by his parents, John and Eleanora Theriot McNamara; son, Michael McNamara; sister, Marie McNamara; brother, John McNamara.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Juliette Guiberteau McNamara; daughter, Bridget Hartzell; son, Patrick McNamara; grandchildren, Brittany McNamara, Daniel McNamara and Michael David Hartzell.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Brooker, Jim Shelton, George Overstreet, Pete Peppenhorse and Patrick McNamara.
