Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and officials with the York Police Department, Livingston Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Department, in coordination with the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, on Wednesday, Feb. 8, arrested Javoris Tyshon Jenkins, 19, of York for the shooting death of Eric Evans, 26, of Cuba and the shooting of Nico Taylor, 27, of York.
The incident took place during the early morning hours on Feb. 2, 2017, on Hayes Road, in York. Jenkins is being held at the Sumter County Jail on Murder and Attempted Murder charges. Bond has been set at a total of $60,000.
