Marcella D. Spence 86, of Demopolis passed away March 10 at Woodhaven Manor.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 14 at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. Scott Stephens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Moundville at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

She was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Perry County, Al.

She was preceded by her parents, William (Bud) and Mable Anderson Duggan; husband, Riston Spurgeon Spence; sister, Azelee Pharis

She is survived by her daughters, Stephnee (Ken) Merkal and Hope (Wayne) Smith; sons, Phillip (Debra) Spence and Dennis (Lisa) Spence; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Caleb spence, Elijah Spence, Sam Spence, Travis Cargile, Josh Smith and Jeremiah Dial.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gwin Etheredge, Larry Barnes, Frank Lavender, Steve Cox and Bill Dial.
