Ovie Harold Pruitt, 86, of Gallion died March 6, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Pruitt was born Oct. 24, 1929 in Morvin, Alabama. He was a retired employment coordinator with the State of Alabama Employment Office and a retired Senior Master Sergeant with the US Air Force. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gwendolyn Cobb Pruitt of Gallion; two sisters, Sherrill Pruitt Ropek of Westland, Michigan and Jane Pruitt Smith of Huntsville, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovie Lee Pruitt and Janie Vick Pruitt; two brothers, Ralph Pruitt and Jimmy Pruitt; and a sister, Frances Pruitt Wade.
Visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 9, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service time with the Rev. David Mooree and Rev. David Stidman officiating. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
