Lady Bulldogs split with Southern Choctaw, Jackson

The Sweet Water Lady Bulldogs went 1-1 on the week to improve to 6-5 overall on the season.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Southern Choctaw 18-8 while falling to Jackson Friday 11-0.

They are schedule to play next on Tuesday, March 18 at Thomasville.

 

Sweet Water 18, Southern Choctaw 8

Sweet Water scored 18 runs on 17 hits to get the win on Thursday.

Jamirah Lucy homered in the game and finished 3-for-5 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Anna Westbrook also went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored, three RBIs and reached on two walks.

Raegan Everette had a double and single with two RBIs and two runs scored while Addison Griffith had a trio of singles with two RBIs and two runs scored. Marley Miller added a double and single with two RBIs and two runs scored.

M Piedra, Whitney Harrington, Maylie Broussard and K Maligno all added hits.

Reese Ashcroft got the win allowing five runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings of work. Harrington allowed three runs, two were unearned, on three hits and a walk with a strikeout.

 

Jackson 11, Sweet Water 0

Jamirah Lucy, Addison Griffith, Reese Ashcraft and Marley Miller all had hits for the Lady Bulldogs, but they couldn’t score a run in the game.

Whitney Harrington took the loss in four innings of work with two strikeouts.
