A Tuscaloosa man was killed Thursday and another was injured as the result of a two-vehicle crash in Faunsdale.
Andrew Deedward Bryant, 21, was killed when the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu in which he was a passenger collided with a 2015 Peterbilt driven by Robert James, 42, of Lockhart, Mississippi. Bryant, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The crash occurred at 4 a.m. on U.S. 80 at the 49.6 mile marker, approximately 1 mile south of Faunsdale.
No additional details were available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
