WRH serving as weigh-in site for Scale Back Alabama
The Whitfield Regional Hospital Wellness Center will be serving as a weigh-in site for the state’s largest weight-loss and exercise program, Scale Back Alabama.
In its 14th year, the program has resulted in millions of pounds lost and lots of healthy habits formed, and the 2020 challenge starts next week. Adults in teams of two can go online now at scalebackalabama.com to register for the free program and then go to WRH Wellness Center to weigh in at the following times: Monday through Friday, Jan. 20-24 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All participants must be 18 years of age and older, live or work in Alabama and must weigh in at an official site to be eligible to participate.
Those who lose at least 10 pounds will be included in the cash prize drawings on April 21.
“At Whitfield Regional Hospital Wellness Center we believe in the importance of good health and participation in this program will provide participants with great health tips and encouragement in their quest for better health,” said Betsy Adams, director of the Wellness Center. “Scale Back Alabama offers a great way to team up with another individual, have fun, and get healthy with a challenge thrown in.”
