Former Linden Patriots safety Sean Richardson made the final cut to become a member of the Green Bay Packers on Friday night.

Richardson spent his four years of college at Vanderbilt, where he was a three-year starter for the Commodores. The Packers signed him as an undrafted free agent in May and he impressed management and the coaches enough to make the final 53-man roster.

In the four preseason games for the Packers, Richardson had 12 solo tackles and four tackle assists.

The Green Bay secondary, especially at Safety, is young and Richardson may have an opportunity to see the field throughout the regular season.
