The Marengo High Lady Panthers (12-2, 6-0) pulled out a tight 48-40 win over Linden Tuesday night, keeping their unbeaten area record intact.

Alesia Bowser led the Lady Panthers in scoring with 20 points, also snagging 15 rebounds on the night. Tallamachiia Dumas added in 12 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. Shakayla Bouler finished the night with 10 points and four steals.

Briana Delaine led the way for Linden with 12 points. Alexis Johnson added 10 for the Lady Patriots.

Following the Lady Panther win, the Marengo varsity boys dropped their contest with Linden (13-6) by an 81-32 margin.

Patrick Bouler led the Marengo (4-10, 2-4) effort with 12 points and four rebounds. Shauka Reese paced Linden with 19 points while Chris Rogers added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Patriots. Imoras Agee finished with nine points and nine assists. Anthony Robinson had seven points and eight assists. Wilvonta Horton had seven point and 14 rebounds. Kevon Rembert had eight points and eight rebounds in the fourth quarter.

The junior varsity teams opened the night with the Linden JV downing the Marengo JV 29-19. Jatevin Horn led Marengo’s junior varsity (2-10) with nine points on the night.
